Another known method on how to cook chicken on a gas grill is indirect cooking. If the grilling equipment happens to have dual burners, you can just opt to preheat both burners, turn off one side then carefully place your chicken onto the turned-off burner. Another method is making a pan-like base using aluminum foil, place it under the grate with the chicken placed properly over it. If it is being made in a skillet, it needs to be flipped every couple of minutes but, otherwise, there is little that needs to be done until the steak is done cooking.

Cook Steak

It is very rare for chicken fried steak to be made from a top quality cut of beef. After all, the steak is not being expected to stand entirely on its own, so it is not vital that it be perfect. The part that really makes the difference in chicken fried steak is the mix of spices that are added to the breadcrumbs. These spices are the savor that truly makes the difference in the taste of the steak and makes it distinctive on the palate. By blending just the right combination of flavors, chicken fried steak can come into its own and really shine. But to get the best blend of spices, the best thing anybody can do is experiment. How Long to Grill Chicken, Steaks and More

Sunday, March 6, 2011

Summertime is a great time to have family and friends over for an outdoor barbecue. Whether you're talking about hot dogs and hamburgers, or chicken, steaks and spareribs, you want to make sure you have your grilling technique down. More often than not, for those of us who don't grill on a regular basis or for those willing something somewhat unique for a special occasion, the question arises, "how long does it take to grill chicken?", or "how long to grill filet mignon on an outdoor gas grill?" (if you're lucky enough to be grilling filet mignon!).  Because the last thing you want to do is have everybody over for a get together and then end up burning or under cooking the main meal. There are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to outdoor grilling.

One of the main things to keep in mind is that outdoor grills very tremendously in the amount of heat they produce. Whether it's a charcoal grill, gas grill, electric gas grill or natural wood-burning barbecue pit, usually each is almost as unique as the chef cooking on it. Until you get to know your grill and know how hot it cooks, or even what areas of the grill tend to get hotter, you're going to have to accept that it's going to be somewhat a game of trial and error. Of course, by following some typical guidelines and keeping a close eye on your food, you should come out with some delicious grub.

Cook Steak

If you're just getting started in the outdoor grilling arena, one thing that is highly recommended is keeping a notebook. His may sound odd, but trust me. Because of the variables mentioned above associated with your grill, plus variables associated with different cuts of meat in different cooking styles, you don't want to rely solely on your memory. If, as you grill each meal, you record in your notebook things such as the starting temperature (ballpark ranges are fine), type of meat to be cooked, area of the grill used, temperature of the meat when you started, and of course how long you left things on the grill and the final outcome (ie, was it a success). This way, when you come back to do it again whether it be a week, a month, or the following season, you'll have a good starting off point and a basic road map to increase the chances of success.

Another thing to keep in mind is that many times we will cook better if it isn't thrown on the grill totally cold. In other words, allow your meat to sit out at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before placing it on the grill. This will help reduce the chances of toughness.

Another way of making sure your meat remains as tender as possible is to be sure to use Palms rather than a fork when you turn the meat. Using a fork will repeat a leap year semi letting out all the Jews and leading to a much tougher and result. If you do want to pierce the meat near the end of the cooking cycle to check for doneness, use the thickest part of meat. If this one is done, then certainly the others are as well. If you're cooking chicken look for the juices to run clear, not opaque. Clear juice signals that the chicken is fully cooked and ready to be taken off the heat.

How Long to Grill Chicken, Steaks and More

Finally, remember that once you're done grilling chicken or steak, let it sit quietly for at least two or three minutes. A little bit more cooking will take place as well as ensuring all the juices remain intact. If you cut it too soon, the juices will simply spill out and you will lose an opportunity for an extremely juicy, tender piece of meat.

Following these simple tips can help you feel confident in your grilling, not stressing about how long does it take to grill chicken or how long to grill filet mignon and it will ensure a successful outdoor grilling experience for you both today and in the future.

How Long Do You Cook a Medium Steak, Baby Back Ribs, Or Chicken?

Saturday, December 4, 2010

Many people look to find how long do you cook a medium steak, baby back ribs, or chicken. When trying to figure out how to cook these specific meats is really going to depend on the recipe, you are using when preparing the meal. There are thousands of recipes on each meat listed. Here are a few tips that you may find helpful when trying to figure out what to have for dinner.

When preparing a steak, I would suggest cooking it on a grill. Season your steak while allowing your grill to heat. You are going to want to grill your steak for about 20 minutes for a medium steak. However, if you choose not to grill, I would suggest that you broil your steak. Set your oven on broil and while allowing it to heat, sear your steak. This is going to add flavor and color. Place your steak in the oven and allow it to cook six to seven minutes on each side for a medium steak.

How long do you cook a medium steak, baby back ribs, or chicken? Well, cooking chicken on a grill may be a great meal for your whole family. When baking chicken in the oven typically takes about 30 minutes or longer depending on your recipe. If you decide to cook it on the grill, you are going to want to cook it on a low heat for about 45 minutes or longer. This is going to allow your chicken o cook properly without having the flame's burn the outside of your chicken.

Baby back ribs are very popular and may be the first thing that pops in your head when you hear the word barbecue. They should be cooked in a smoker or on a grill. Ribs generally take longer to cook and usually takes six to eight hours. You are going to want to pay close attention to the meat while it is cooking, this is very important when considering how long do you cook a medium steak, baby back ribs, or chicken.

The best advice I can give you on how long do you cook a medium steak, baby back ribs, or chicken is to follow a recipe and always have a meat thermometer handy. Meat thermometers will accurately tell you the temperature of your meat and the temperature alone will let you know when it is done without having to cut it open, losing most of the flavorful juices.

Best Grilling Tips For Steak, Chicken, and Beef

Saturday, October 23, 2010

Attempting to grill anything may seem like an extremely difficult thing to do but once you get the hang of it, you'll be giving out your own Best Grilling Tips in no time. Listening to other people's opinions as to what the Best Grilling Tips are can be quite frustrating because it confuses you more but all you have to do is to find what works best for you. It just requires a lot of patience on your part and constant practicing and experimenting. For the Best Grilling Tips, simply read on and start grilling:

First, you need to decide what kind of meat you want. If you want steak, make sure that you choose a thick and well-marbled slab of meat. Beef cuts may need preliminary preparation such as boning or trimming. If you want to use chicken, choose whether you want to grill a whole chicken or if you want to just cook chicken breasts.

Grilling Beef:

1. Pre-heat the grill. You can use either charcoal or gas grill. Just remember that charcoal grills require briquettes to build a fire and gas grills need to be turned on for about five minutes before you start cooking.

2. Lightly coat the beef in olive oil and season it with pepper and coarse salt. Place it on the grill and pay constant attention to the meat. If the beef is about 75% done, flip it to the other side.

Grilling Chicken:

1. Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat it dry. Season it with salt and pepper. If you want to use a marinade, make sure that you let the chicken soak in it for several hours before you put it on the grill.

2. If you are using a charcoal grill, place the chicken next to a hot bed of coals and not directly over them. If you're using a gas grill, turn only one side of it on and leave the other side unlit. Cook both sides of the chicken for about a half hour each until the skin is a golden brown. Once it's done, remove the chicken from the grill and let it sit for ten to fifteen minutes before serving.

Grilling Steak:

1. It is very important to pick the right steak cut. Thicker steaks are ideal and it is highly recommended to choose that is well marbled, which means that there is some fat throughout the steak that will help make it juicier and richer in flavor. Let the meat reach room temperature before you start cooking. Season it simply with freshly ground black pepper and coarse salt.

2. Lightly coat the grill grates in oil to keep the steak from sticking and pre-heat the grill. It doesn't matter whether you decide to use a charcoal or a gas grill. One of the Best Grilling Tips is to always remember that cooking time depends on how big and how thick your steaks are so pay close attention to your meat. Avoid flipping your steak frequently and refrain from using a fork to check if the meat is done because this will pierce the steak and allow the juices to seep out. Use a spatula or tongs. Simply press the meat with your finger to test if it's done. Once it has reached your desired doneness, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for several minutes before serving.

These are the Best Grilling Tips to learn especially if you're still new to the kitchen because they are simple and very easy to follow. Soon you will become a master at the art of grilling and eventually churn out the best grilled dishes for your friends and family.

How to Cook Cube Steak - Chicken Or Beef?

Sunday, October 3, 2010

When you mention meat, there are two things people will think of. First, there is chicken and second, beef. Many like the beef because it can be served rare and for those who like more tender meat, chicken is their choice. Despite its wide availability, many people still don't know how to cook these two items. So, for the benefit of the reader, this article is going to show you how.

Firstly, how to cook a cube steak? Well, you will need to know which part of the cow you'll have to buy at the butcher's. It is taken from the hip and is best tenderized before cooked. Use an electric tenderizer or a normal one if you prefer an old-fashioned bashing. Make sure you tenderize it until it looks not unlike a hamburger patty.

Then, prepare the ingredients while allowing the steak to sit for a while. You will need half a can of water, 2 medium-sized onions, 1 can of celery soup or cream of mushroom, 2 tablespoon of oil, half a cup of catsup, peeled garlic, salt and pepper.

Heat up the oil in the pan and while you are waiting, rub the garlic, salt and pepper on the cube steaks. Ensure that they are covered all over. When you're done, fry them in hot oil, not more than two at a time, unless they are really small. Then, put the steaks on a pan and add the onions. Mix water, soup and catsup together and pour them over the steaks. Simmer for 40 minutes under low heat.

If you feel like baking a chicken, do not tenderize the meat. You will only need salt, pepper, olive oil (for the health-conscious) and any marinade of your choice. You have to prepare the chicken before baking it by rinsing it in cold water thoroughly. Add the salt and pepper, and massage it with olive oil.
